Position Summary:

The Conference Setup and Services Team Member provides impeccable guest service to conference groups through precise room/event set-ups, professional and friendly communication, prompt follow-through on requests, maintaining a high level of service throughout guests' stay, and meeting the standards of meeting room cleanliness and set-up detail defined by Dept. Manager.


Essential Functions / Requirements:

  • Exhibit superior guest service abilities through clear, professional and friendly interactions with all guests and staff
  • Possess incredible attention to detail
  • Execute conference set-up orders accurately and in a time-sensitive manner, assisting with the set-up, break-down and cleaning of meeting room spaces as well as providing exceptional service to conference groups during their stay
  • Communicate professionally via phone, email, radio at all times. Computer proficiency preferred (will train)
  • Be professional, reliable, responsible and innovative to achieve exceptional hospitality
  • Possess physical ability to lift chairs, tables, guest deliverable items weighing up to 50 pounds and to get in and out of vehicles multiple times daily
  • Ability to thrive in a work environment that is never the same day twice, be self-motivated and have pride in a job well done
  • Work varied schedules; day, evening, weekend and holiday flexibility required
  • Wear uniform of YMCA-provided staff shirt and employee-provided closed-toe shoes and khaki pants (or below-knee length khaki shorts, summer only). Sweatpants or yoga type pants will not be permitted


Other Functions / Requirements:

  • Possess a valid, USA state issued driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehicles
  • Assist Equipment Manager with carpet/floor care
  • All other duties as assigned

Two shirts will be provided for you. Please have comfortable, closed-toe shoes and khaki pants (or below-knee khaki shorts-summer only). Sweatpants or yoga type pants will not be permitted.



This is a seasonal, hourly (based on 40 hours/week) position, paying $230/week, with employee perks including:

Drug and Alcohol Policy:

We have a zero tolerance policy for alcohol or drugs on property; in addition, no drug use is tolerated (including marijuana) during your employment with us whether on- or off-duty.
