Job Description - Philanthropy Office Assistant

Job Title: Philanthropy Office Assistant                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Status: Non-Exempt
Employee Classification: Part-time                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Reports to: Director of Philanthropy    

The YMCA of the Rockies Estes Park Center is the largest YMCA conference center in the world. 
At nearly 900 acres in size and serving over 200,000 guests each year, a dedicated team of 
individuals work to provide guests with a world-renowned experience.

Position Summary:
The Philanthropy Office Assistant will support the Philanthropy Department with processing and managing YMCA of the Rockies memberships, clerical duties and other department support functions.

Hourly Pay Rate: $12.00

Essential Functions / Requirements:
*     Membership:
              o    Process membership applications
              o    Run National Sex Offender Registry checks on new/renewing adult members
              o    Run monthly membership renewal notices
              o    Drop lapsed members monthly
              o    Provide updated membership lists for association
              o    Explain membership benefits and cabin priority booking process to stakeholders
*     Clerical/department support:
              o    Manage digital and paper filing of necessary documents
              o    Record and distribute philanthropy team meeting minutes 
              o    Assist with prospect research of members and donors
              o    Provide donor profiles for philanthropy outreach as needed
              o    Coordinate philanthropy related travel for CEO and Director of Philanthropy, as needed
              o    Support event planning and related duties, including online events
*     Be able to perform various routine clerical duties
*     Be able to utilize standard office equipment such as computer, fax machine, copy machine, telephone
*     Have accurate and proficient typing and computer data entry skills
*     Possess good customer service skills; must be friendly, personable, helpful, patient, and professional
*     Be able to work well with frequent interruptions in a busy office environment
*     Be a quick learner and be able to handle multiple tasks
*     Be highly organized and complete tasks in a timely and efficient basis
*     Be detail-oriented and accurate in all work
*     Work independently, be responsible and self-motivated
*     Have an unwavering ability to maintain strict confidentiality concerning membership and donor matters
*     Communicate clearly, visually and orally and be fluent in speaking, writing and reading English

Other Functions / Requirements:
*     Possess a valid, USA state-issued driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehicles
*     Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on occasion
*     All other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as required
