Internships

Learn in the Rocky Mountains! Build your work experience and make friendships that last a lifetime. On-site lodging and meals are included for internships; internships pay $220/week (based on 40 hour work weeks), and last from 11 weeks to 8 months. We offer paid internships only. What are standard seasonal wages?
In addition to receiving a base weekly wage of $220, seasonal staff receive lodging, three meals a day and free or discounted access to most YMCA facilities and area attractions (skiing, snowshoeing in winter and, climbing, hiking, biking and horseback riding in the summer). No more worrying about finding a place to stay and eat - just come and enjoy all that Colorado has to offer.
What housing is provided?
As part of your employment package, you’ll be provided with on-site complimentary lodging. Our facilities are dorm-style, which means that you’ll be sharing your room with one to three other people. This is a great opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with your colleagues! You’ll also have a short commute to work.
Private dorm rooms are available for staff members 30 & up and married couples.

How can I provide references?
To complete a reference form, click here .
You must submit three references during the online application process: one reference from a family member and the other two from individuals who know you professionally (former supervisors, mentors, teachers, professors, pastors, etc.). If you are a rehire and have worked at YMCA of the Rockies Estes Park Center, Snow Mountain Ranch, or Camp Chief Ouray at any time during the past three years, you do not have to provide these references.

What is the 2017 Fall Incentive Pay Rate?
From August 19th to November 4th, 2017, all on-grounds seasonal staff will get paid $10 per hour for all hours worked in Food Service, Housekeeping, Conference Set-up & Services or Center Services. The overtime rate is $15.00 per hour. All off-grounds seasonal staff will get paid $15/hour for all hours worked in Food Service, Housekeeping, Conference Set-up & Services or Center Services. The overtime rate is $22.50.
