Staff Activities Facilitator (2025)

POSITION SUMMARY:Â Â
The Staff Activities Facilitator will ensure a welcoming, supportive, inclusive, and fun environment for all staff and volunteers. This includes planning, organizing, promoting, and leading events and activities for a diverse group of staff and volunteers. The events and activities will range from cultural events, volunteer opportunities, hikes, intramural sports leagues, shopping trips, crafts, etc. Staff Activities Facilitators will communicate events and happenings to staff and volunteers through email, newsletters, in person, and GroupMe. Staff Activities Facilitators will work shifts in different departments in order to build connections and empathy for staff.Â

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Â
- Plans, leads, and executes staff events and activities; these events can range from cultural celebrations, volunteer opportunities, and game nightsÂ
- Host club meetings and events for various interest groups such as Arts and Culture, Sports and Fitness, Community Service and Social Justice, etc.Â
- Promote staff activities and events to staff via flyers, activity guides, newsletters, word of mouth, and GroupMeÂ
- Develops positive relationships with all staff and volunteers and encourages participation in YMCA events and activities. Continues to create new connections with staff.Â
- Collaborates with staff from other departments to create meaningful and desired events and activitiesÂ
- Handle all logistical aspects of events, including budget management, venue selection, supplies, and coordination with other departments.Â
- Stay updated on current event and activity requests from staff and incorporate innovative ideas into event planning.Â
- Gathers feedback from staff, conducts surveys, and tracks attendance of all staff events and activitiesÂ
- Anticipate and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during events.Â
- Operate daily shuttle to the town of Estes Park as well as shuttles for appointments, social security appointments, and airport pick up and drop offÂ
- Must be able to take direction and work independentlyÂ
- Work varied hours including holidays, weekends, and nightsÂ
- Possess enthusiasm to serve staff and develop positive relationshipsÂ
- Possess a valid, USA state-issued driverâs license and an acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehiclesÂ
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:Â
- Be adventurous, creative, self-motivated, resourceful, and a team playerÂ
- Ability to fluently speak, write, and read EnglishÂ
- Be comfortable with technology and administrative dutiesÂ
- Willingness to assist in other areas to help other departments and create connectionsÂ
- Ability to work independently, problem solve, and handle difficult situations that may arise.Â
- Possess enthusiasm for staff experience and creating meaningful events and activities for allÂ
- Strong organizational skills and ability to complete tasks in a timely and efficient mannerÂ
- Have or obtain First Aid and CPR CertificationÂ
- Must possess a valid, USA state-issued driverâs license, an acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehiclesÂ
- Work in other departments and areas as needed.Â
