Summer 2023 Internship Opportunities
Association Office Assistant (Estes Park, Association Office): The Association Office Assistant will be primarily responsible for assisting Accounting and Philanthropy department teams in data entry of records and project-based duties. Duties include updating files and member data bases, monitor approval processes of electronic invoices, and general office administrative tasks.
Fall 2023 Internship Opportunities
Guest Registration Intern (Estes Park Center, August 7th - December 15th) Our guest registration internship provide those interested in hospitality management a valuable experience as they gain skills in a fast-paced hotel environment. They often provide the first face-to-face impression of YMCA of the Rockies to our guests and ensure they are given accurate and in-depth information about their accommodations and activities.
Housekeeping Logistics Intern (Estes Park Center, August 14th - December 15th) Our housekeeping logistics internship provides experience to those interested in the behind-the-scenes coordination of a large group conference and retreat center. This position will be responsible for timeliness in preparing and updating status of lodge rooms and cabins for guest occupancy and communicate issues promptly with Housekeeping leadership.
Food & Beverage Management Intern (Estes Park Center, August 14th - December 15th) Our Food & Beverage Management internship is a learning experience that involves working closely with the Dining Rooms Managers to learn service excellence and team management, as well as work with the Food Service Office Manager to understand administrative function, organizations and relationships with bookings and the conference department. This role will also be responsible for overall day to day operations in all Front of the House Food Service common areas, banquet dining halls and dining rooms including customer service, training and supervising all staff.
Kitchen & Culinary Intern (Estes Park Center, August 14th - December 15th) Our Kitchen and Culinary internship involves working closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to learn culinary techniques, menu building and team management, as well as work with the Inventory Manager to understand stocking, product turnover, pricing and ordering within the Food & Beverage industry. This role will also be responsible for shift management of all kitchen & back of the house food service operations.
Human Resources Intern (Snow Mountain Ranch, August 14th - January 5th, 2024) Our Human Resources internship will involve learning and supporting in all aspects of human resource operations for a large camps and conference center. This role will support with hiring processes, onboarding and off boarding processes, disciplinary action procedures and various other day to day functions of a human resources office.
Activities Facilitator Intern (Snow Mountain Ranch, August 7th - November 17th) Our Activity Facilitators are responsible for leading family-oriented and group programs for members and guests of all ages. This includes sports, archery, outdoor nature activities, mini-golf clubhouse, roller rink, science experiments, climbing wall, games and other family programs. Additionally, Activity Facilitators will assist guests at the program registration desk.
Program Desk Attendant Intern (Snow Mountain Ranch, August 7th - November 17th) Our Program Desk Attendants are responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests and members. Daily responsibilities of Program Desk Attendants include opening and closing the building, managing a cash drawer and our activity registration system, being knowledgeable about our Programs, our Association, Rocky Mountain National Park, and the local community, and promoting current and future activities and offerings across the Y.
Marketing Intern (Association Office, Estes Park, August 7th - December 15th) Our Marketing Intern supports the work of the YMCA of the Rockies, Association Offices which operates a family, a group conference, a retreat center, and a residential summer camp, serving more than 220,000 guests annually. The intern is responsible for assisting the YMCA of the Rockies marketing and communications team, with an emphasis on mission-based photography and videography.
