Prior to working at the Y, I never took care of myself. Work was my life. The Y facilitates an environment where self-care is encouraged. The friendships I’ve developed here are long-lasting and motivate me to keep on coming back. This is my fifth summer at the YMCA of the Rockies and I still enjoy helping create first-time experiences for our guests and colleagues. This is a great place to be!
-
What is different about working at the YMCA is the atmosphere here. We really care about each other and this is a safe space to learn. We can learn from our mistakes, using them as training opportunities.
-
I choose to work at the Y because I wanted to go somewhere where I could be adventurous and do new things, but also still do what I love, which is working with children. I have a passion for working with youth and impacting the children’s lives around me.
